I'm planting a seed

I hope it will grow

I'll water it carefully

And one day I know

That something will happen

Just wait and see

That tiny little seed

Will grow into a tree.

Hello & Welcome!

We are a licensed Family Childcare Home (or Home-Daycare) located in the beautiful city of Ventura, CA.  We are near the 126 freeway just off of Kimball Rd.

We offer full-time, part-time and drop-in child care services in my home to the East Ventura community for children ages 6 weeks of age until they enter kindergarten (around age 5).  We also provide occasional evening, and weekend child care services (depending on availability) for that special date-night, errand run etc.

Children are welcome to join us in our comfortable home environment setting with low child-to-adult ratio (1:8) that allows individualized learning experiences with each child.  While we all practice kindness, responsibility, self-sufficiency, social skills,  tolerance and acceptance we provide activities designed to teach children Preschool and Kindergarten preparedness skills in a fun way.

Your child will not only be encouraged to develop solid academic foundations through both guided and child-led discovery of language arts, music, math, science, art and physical activities but also through creative expressions by learning about themselves, others and the world that they live in.

Our goal is to cover the following domains:

  • Gross Motor
  • Fine Motor
  • Language
  • Cognitive
  • Social Emotional
  • Self-Help/Adaptive

We love going to the following places regularly:

  • Barranca Vista Park
  • Juniperro Serra Park
  • Montalvo Hill Park
  • N Bank Dr/Rio Grande St Park
  • Farmer's Market (Thursdays)
  • Barnes & Noble Story Time

When caring for your child here at Helping Hands Childcare, the childcare provider, will act as your helping hand through a partnership based on trust and communication.
